Decimal comma/Decimal point for this converter

The point is the decimal character in this calculator. Example: 1000.6
The comma is the decimal character in this calculator. Example: 1000,6

Parallel connection

Parallel connection of 2 resistors
Specifications in ohms.

Voltage
Resistor 1
Resistor 2
T. resistance
T. conductance
Amperage
This calculator calculates the compensating resistance, respectively the total conductance for two resistances connected parallel to each other, and the entries are made in ohms.

If an applied voltage is specified, the resulting total current is also given.

Parallel connection of 2 resistors
Specifications in Siemens (conductance).

Voltage
Conductance 1
Conductance 2
T. conductance
T. resistance
Amperage
This calculator uses the compensating resistance (as resistance und electric conductance) for two resistances connected parallel to each other, and the entries are made in Siemens (electric conductance).

If an applied voltage is specified, the resulting total current is also given.

Parallel connection

Parallel connection of 9 resistors
Specifications in ohms.

Resistor 1
Resistor 2
Resistor 3
Resistor 4
Resistor 5
Resistor 6
Resistor 7
Resistor 8
Resistor 9
T. resistance
T. conductance
This calculator gives the compensating resistance, respectively the total conductance for up to nine resistances connected parallel to each other. The resistance (ohms) is expected as entry.

An empty entry field means no resistance (interruption, respectively infinitely large resistance).

Parallel connection of 9 resistors
Specifications in Siemens (conductance).

Conductance 1
Conductance 2
Conductance 3
Conductance 4
Conductance 5
Conductance 6
Conductance 7
Conductance 8
Conductance 9
T. conductance
T. resistance
This calculator gives the compensating resistance, respectively the total conductance for up to nine resistances connected parallel to each other, and specifies the electric conductance.

0 in the entry field means no resistance (interruption of infinitely large resistance).

For the parallel connection of resistances the total current is distributed on the individual branches in accordance with Kirchhoff's circuit laws. The voltage is the same for all components. The reciprocal value of the total resistance is the same as the sum of the reciprocal values of the individual resistances.

Calculation basis for the above resistance calculator:
The formula it is based on is capacity 1/RTotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + ...
The 2nd decimal point is rounded up, and for the conductance the 4th decimal point is rounded up.

Electric conductivity, conductance

Resistance
Conductivity
This calculator converts the resistance into the conductance.

The electrical conductivity is the reciprocal value of the electrical resistance. Its formula sign is G, its measuring unit is S (Siemens). Some calculations can be more elegantly achieved with conductance as the quantity for the resistance.

The calculation basis for this conductivity converter:
The formula this is based on is R=1/G.
The 5th decimal point in the result is rounded up.

Error messages

Overflow appears when the value to be displayed is too large for the display field. The other displayed values remain valid.

NaN (Not a Number) appears when an invalid number was entered in one of the input fields, most commonly an entry containing an incorrect decimal character (e.g. point and not comma), a letter or a thousands separator.
